- The video really hit me with the reality that paper & pencil and chalk & blackboards are becoming extinct.
- The computer is faster, makes editing easier, and is more accomodating.
- Clicking on one website will lead one to thousands of other sites which will help students to explore, learn and teach.
- It will connect them to other students and educators all over the globe which will enhance their learning experience.
- The computer and internet is the new tool for learning. School districts need to understand this and catch up with it!
- Are we teaching the machine, or is the machine teaching us? We really are the web.
- Endless possibilities and exchanged learning with the web/wikis/blogs/personal websites.

YouTube Video
That was the first time I ever saw that video and it can definitly be related to what we discussed in class the past two weeks.

I understand that all of these things bring everything to us faster and from all corners of the world, but I really didn't understand what they meant by content and form being different because of the Digital world. Do you have any insight into that part of the video?
Also, I really appreciate your comments about clicking onto a website and that website leading you to other websites. I think that is the most phenomenonal part of all of this Digital learning: we can access the world for our knowledge. Like Will said in his blog, the four walls are no longer the classroom. I think that's a great concept. I don't have to be the person with all of the answers when I become a teacher. I can let my students know that I don't know everything, and they don't have to know everything. All they need to do is access a website and go from there.
Maybe someday we really will do all of our learning outside of the four walls of a classroom. Teachers no longer are the givers of knowledge and students no longer are just the consumers buying that knowledge. They are producers as well. That really excites me.
I am excited about the fact that we will all be producers also. I was pretty confused about the form and contact aspect as well. Anyone understand that? Help Darlene and I out!
